First of all thank you to all of the parents and carers that have read stories to RBH throughout last week! The children truly enjoyed it and it sparked many conversations about our favorite books, making last week a very special one. We had a fantastic time reading some of the children’s books from home. On Thursday the classroom was filled with different literary characters and everyone had a chance to go up on the stage in the hall for the school’s World Book Day Parade.
During the cold week we have gone on snow walks around the school to observe how our environment has changed. We went to the Forrest school area and found some animal footprints and saw the think ice on the pond.
In phonics, we have begun to learn digraphs ‘ur , ‘ow’ , ‘oi and ‘ear’
In maths, we have begun to count on and carry on practicing addition.
